Heavy rainfall paralyses Mumbai, commuters hit hard

Heavy rains lashed Mumbai and many main parts of the city causing traffic snarls at important junctures. Due to waterlogging, traffic slowed down in major parts of the city. Commuters faced inconvenience as they waded through the waterlogged streets in many places and vehicles were stranded for a long time due to traffic congestion. Meanwhile, the locals appealed the state government to take preventive measures to eradicate water from the residential areas. Heavy showers and cloud cover brought down the temperature in the state.
