INX Media case: SC extends P Chidambaram’s CBI custody till September 5

Supreme Court extended P. Chidambaram's custody by 2 days. The former Union minister was arrested on August 21 by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connected with the INX Media case. He was arrested after the Delhi High Court rejected his plea for anticipatory bail. The case pertains to alleged irregularities in Foreign Investment Promotion Board clearance given to INX Media when Chidambaram was Union Finance Minister.
