‘Jamia crackdown like Jallianwala Bagh’: Uddhav Thackeray slams Modi govt

Maharashtra Chief Minsiter Uddhav Thackeray said Centre should 'not do, what they are doing, with students'. Uddhav compared the Jamia protests in Delhi to Jallianwala Bagh Massacre of 1919. Earlier, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said the Maharashtra chief minister will take a decision on Citizenship Amendment Act in the state. Shiv Sena had supported the CAB in Lok Sabha but walked out of the discussion in Rajya Sabha. State like West Bengal and Kerala are protesting against the Citizenship Act. Earlier, WB CM Mamata Banerjee led the protest march on December 16.
