Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi hit out at those opposing Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019. He sought a list of 'Pakistani Muslims' whom Opposition wants to make Indian. He said, “Congress party, or those protesting (against CAA), should tell us the number of Pakistani Muslims whom they wish to grant Indian citizenship. They should give a list. If anyone wants citizenship, then there are provisions in Citizenship Act 1955. Any foreigner can get Indian citizenship if they are eligible as per its system and procedure. Many people have been given citizenship in the last 5 years. Many Muslims are also among them. The most important thing is that the citizenship of Indian Muslims is 100% safe. Under Modi, the citizenship of any Indian has never been under threat, and will never be.”
