Preparations are in full swing ahead of the 73rd Independence Day. The full dress rehearsal for I-Day celebrations was held on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the Tricolour at the Red Fort. He is also slated to deliver a speech to the nation. The security arrangements have been tightened at all the metro stations in Delhi. The CISF and local police are jointly looking after the security measures. The BSF launched 'Ops alert' deploying extra troops on the border areas. Meanwhile, tricolour are badges are in huge demand. Shops in Kanpur are offering hair bands, t-shirts and caps for sale. The nation will celebrate its 73rd Independence Day on August 15.
