Watch | Bizarre CCTV shows monkey robbing jewellery shop
In a bizarre incident, a jewellery shop in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh was robbed of 10,000 rupees by a monkey last month.
The incident, that took place on May 23 at Sri Lalitha jewellers, has now gone viral. The CCTV footage shows an employee of the jewellery shop offering a piece of fruit to the monkey which sat outside the shop door. Soon after, the monkey pushed open the door and headed straight for the cash counter.
After sitting for a while on a chair, the monkey pulled out a bundle of currency notes from a drawer and jumped over the counter only to run off with the money.
In the video, an employee is also seen offering a banana to the monkey in a bid to stop him from fleeing, but in vain.
