Watch: Video of Delhi cop’s son mercilessly beating woman goes viral

A Delhi policeman's son who was seen severely beating a woman in a viral video has been arrested. The case against the youth, son of a Delhi Police assistant sub-inspector, was filed after another girl, who alleged harassment and threats by him and his father, shared the video of the assault. The youth has been charged with rape according to ANI. The girl seen targeted in the viral video later filed a case against him at the Uttam Nagar police station. The police registered a case under preventive sections of the Criminal Procedure Code and arrested him. However since the provision was bailable, he was later released. Union home minister Rajnath Singh also took to Twitter to direct Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik to take necessary action.
