Team India kicked off their proceedings in the ODI series against West Indies with a stellar victory. India handed a 5-wicket defeat to hosts Windies in the one-sided series opener in Barbados. The 2nd fixture of the three-match series occurred on Saturday with Barbados retaining its hosting rights. Owing to increased workload, Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli remained unavailable for the 2nd ODI. The likes of Sanju Samson & Axar Patel formally replaced them in India’s starting XI. While vice-captain Hardik Pandya donned the captain’s hat in Rohit’s absence. Kraigg Brathwaite, the skipper of the home side, opted to field after calling it right at the toss in Barbados.
