2002 Sardarpura riots case: 31 accused guilty

31 accused have been found guilty in the 2002 Sardarpura riots case. A special fast track court pronounced its verdict today on the case. 42 of the accused have been acquitted. A total of 73 people have been tried for murder, attempt to murder, rioting, arson and criminal conspiracy in this case. The accused had allegedly set a house on fire in the Sardarpura village- where 20 women and 13 others had sought refuge from rioters
