3 killed in a gun battle with Army

Indian security forces gunned down three rebels who were holed up inside a house at Samba in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. Officials said militants forced their way into the house of a political activist in a village in Samba district, Srinagar, and killed the man and his wife. The militants then moved on to another house, where Indian soldiers surrounded them.
