5 NCC cadets drown in Kerala’s Periyar river

Five young students, enrolled in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) were unfortunately drowned in the River Periyar near Malayattoor in Kerala. They were part of their respective NCC contingent, believed to be from Delhi area, taking part in the Malayattoor Trekking Camp for NCC. An inquiry has been ordered into the tragic incident.
