Arms, ammunitions recovered from Maoist hideout in Jharkhand

In a joint operation launched by the state police and the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force, the security forces recovered weapons including rifles, detonators and literature from a hideout in Ratnag village near Jaigra under Pandu Police Station. Briefing the media persons, Lakshman Prasad Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Police on Wednesday, said the Maoists opened fire at the police force, which forced the security personnel to retaliate. Maoists however managed to escape to the nearby forest area leaving behind their cache of arms and ammunitions. One Indian rifle, 30 detonators, wires, bags, 10 sets of Maoists uniform and literature material were also recovered from the hideout.
