Arun Jaitley takes additional charge of information and broadcasting ministry

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley took additional charge of the I&B Ministry at Shashtri Bhawan, New Delhi. Jaitley, who earlier held the Defence portfolio as an additional charge, has now been given the Information and Broadcasting Ministry's additional charge. Meanwhile, Rajyavardhan Rathore has been given the charge of Minister of State (MoS) I-B Ministry. Yesterday, in the first Cabinet expansion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA government, former Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar took over from Arun Jaitley as the new Defence Minister.
