At least 8 killed in panchayat poll violence in Assam

At least eight people were killed and several others injured in police firing in trouble-torn Goalpara district of Assam as violence erupted during panchayat elections on Tuesday. Indefinite curfew has been imposed in some violence affected areas in the state.
