BCCI must come under RTI: Ajay Maken

In the wake of the recent controversies surrounding the cricket extravaganza IPL, organised by the BCCI, Sports Minister Ajay Maken today said that there is a need to bring the cricket board under the RTI ambit. Maken while addressing the ministers sitting in the parliament Maken said that the government is keen to implement this proposal. Highlighting various grants and exemptions provided to the BCCI, Maken said that the board has benefited from the government's decisions, so it must come under the act.
