Home Minister P Chidambaram on Thursday urged northeast insurgent outfits to abjure violence and work with the government to find a solution. He said this after inaugurating a mini secretariat in Ukhrul district of Manipur on the first day of his two-day state visit. The home minister added the central government is in talks with different separatist groups and is looking for solution for the betterment of the region. Chidambaram also said that the central government would facilitate local Autonomous District Councils and all initiatives for talks. He also informed that talks would soon resume in the month of May this year.
