Chief Eco Adviser asks Mamata to ponder over FDI in retail

India's chief economic adviser, Kaushik Basu has urged West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee to reckon the central government's proposal to let foreign direct investment (FDI) in the retail sector. Meanwhile, on her part, Banerjee refused to budge from her stand of opposing the policy.
