Chief of Jharkhand state resigns

Chief of Jharkhand, Madhu Koda resigned on Friday, making way for regional Jharkhand Mukti Morcha's or JMM chief Shibu Soren to head the government. Koda, who was supposed to face the floor test on August 25, met the state governor Syed Sibtey Razi and submitted his resignation.Jharkhand had come into political uncertainty after JMM withdrew support from the Madhu Koda led UPA government on August 17, reducing Koda's government to a minority.
