Children participate in Olympic Day Run in Vizag

Thousands of children today participated in Olympic Day Run in Visakhapatnam to celebrate the setting up of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on this day in 1894. The main objective of the marathon was to promote interest in sports and to build up an Olympic fervor in the city. Along with the children several elderly people and specially abled persons enthusiastically participated in the marathon. Olympic Day Run is an international Olympic movement activity promoting mass participation of people in sports.
