Chiranjeevi rules out merger with Congress

After holding a meeting with Congress party Chief Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi earlier on Saturday, Film actor and chief of regional Praja Rajyam Party Chiranjeevi, dashed hopes of a plausible merger of his party with the central ruling Congress party. Chiranjeevi however dropped hints that though the PRP would not merge with the Congress party, it may "consider" Gandhi's "request" to support the party in the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls.
