Church in Kottayam binds people across cultures

Kottayam, in India's southern state of Kerela, literally means the interior of a fort. It is known for its beautiful backwater stretches, lush paddy fields and rubber plantations. Kuravilangad is a small town in Kottayam district. It is known for the amity that exists between people of different faiths living here. The grand festival celebrated at Martha Mariam Ferona Church here is a perfect example of this fact. People irrespective of their religions, caste and creed gather in large numbers at the church every year to celebrate the event.
