Convicts of Surat gang-rape case awarded life term

A Gujarat fast track court on Friday awarded life term to three accused in a teenage rape case. Shahid Saiyad, Tariq Qutubuddhin Saiyad and Abu Bakr Sheikh -were arrested by the police in June 2009 for their involvement in a gang rape of a 17-year-old girl in a moving car in Gujarat's Surat city. The girl was raped while she was coming from her tuition classes.
