Cooperative Milk Society Empowering Women

Milk cooperatives are turning into a potent instrument for women empowerment. A milk cooperative society in Himachal Pradesh is economically supporting women of the region and making them financially independent. 'Indira' women milk production cooperative society is supporting about a 1000 women through 13 women associations. The Sirmaur district has over 55 registered and non-registered societies for milk production.
