Curfew continues in Kashmir, life paralysed
Streets of Kashmir wore barren looks and shops remained closed on Tuesday as curfew continued with police and security personnel as the only sign of life in the city. Curfew was re-imposed after a day's relaxation in Srinagar on Monday. Srinagar is observing a shutdown in response to the on going 'Quit Kashmir Movement' called by the hardliner separatist leader, Syed Ali Shah Geelani. Security forces were seen patrolling the streets in and around the city. Locals say that due to the curfew many have not been able to go to their offices and attend allied chores, as the situation remains to be tense in the valley.
