DMK to hold crucial meet

The DMK will hold a meet in Chennai to mark the completion of one year of the DMK government and to celebrate 50 years of Karunanidhi as MLA.The meet has gained significance especially after the growing rift between the party and IT and communications minister in the UPA government Dayanidhi Maran. The rift widened when Maran, who is seen shoulder to shoulder with Karunanidhi in every occasion, did not attend the formal function to celebrate 50 years of Karunanidhi as MLA.
