The Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA) demanded the resignation of the Vice Chancellor after it was emerged that the laboratory of the varsity's Chemistry Department had disposed off the radioactive metal as scrap resulting in one death and critical injuries to a couple of other persons in Capital's Mayapuri industrial area. Further he noted that DUTA would request the President of India to appoint qualified experts who could look into this issue.
