Former Army Chief, Vijay Kumar Singh, has said that he is ready to venture into politics if it is in the interest of the nation. Speaking to media persons in Jaipur, Singh added that he would make a move only at an appropriate time. Commenting on the popularity of the agitations against corruption, Singh said that the number of supporters can't measure the success of a movement. There have been speculations in the media that Singh has plans to join politics, after he shared the dais first with anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare and then yoga guru Baba Ramdev.
