Father wants Deepika Kumari to win Olympic gold for India

India's top archer Deepika Kumari has now scaled at the global stage after she bagged the number one ranking ahead of the 2012 London Olympics, where she is focusing to grab a podium finish. The 18-year-old became the second Indian woman archer after Dola Banerjee and Jayanta Banerjee to achieve the top ranking. Deepika's father Shivnarayan Mahato, an auto-rickshaw driver was elated by her daughter's latest feat but while speaking to mediapersons in Ranchi said that they were awaiting a Gold Medal in London from her. Deepika Kumari won her first World Cup individual recurve gold medal at Antalya, Turkey in May this year beating Korea's Lee Sung Jin by six set points to four in the final.
