The water level continued to rise in Fazilka district of n Punjab on Tuesday as incessant rains caused floods in several parts of northern India. Large parts of farmland in the district have been submerged, damaging crops. The floods have cut off roads, bridges and inundated the areas causing major trouble to locals. Reportedly, houses in nearby villages have also been badly damaged by the flood. The monsoon this year has caused heavy floods in several parts of India, leading to devastation of life and property.
