Foodgrain production will be 1.4% lower than 2011: Sharad Pawar

Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar on Tuesday said that the country's foodgrain production in 2012-13 would be 1.4% lower than last year's record output of 257.44 million tonnes. Speaking to reporters in New Delhi at the Economic editor's conference he added that the production in 2012 was sufficient to meet the domestic demand.
