Gadkari formally elected BJP president

Nitin Gadkari, who was acting president of BJP since December, was formally elected as the party president for a three-year term in the presence of senior party leaders in New Delhi. Thawar Chand Gehlot, General Secretary of the party and the Returning Officer for the elections declared this after the conclusion of the elections.
