Government programmes to be backed by law: Pranab

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee in Kolkata on Sunday said that the government programmes, especially for the poor would be backed by specific legal enactments in aid of the beneficiaries. He said that legal enactments would empower poor people to a great extent. Further he noted that getting inputs from the reputed London School of Economics (LSE) would be beneficial.
