Heavy rainfall in Gujarat wreaked havoc, causing huge damage to the boats in the fishing business. Rains accompanied with strong winds and high tides lashed the Veraval city for three days, an important fishing port and one of the largest in the country. The fishing community feared that over 100 costly fishing boats have been swept in the tide.
