Hope to pass anti-rape law in budget session: Govt

Union law minister Ashwani Kumar said on Saturday that the government is hoping to pass the amended anti-rape law in the current session of the parliament's budget session before the earlier passed ordinance lapses. The new bill would replace the earlier Criminal Law (Amendment) Act Bill that was tabled in the Lok Sabha in 2012.
