India has rejected Pakistan's proposal of United Nation's intervention into the killing of two soldiers in Kashmir by Pakistani troops. Interacting with media persons today in New Delhi, Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram rejected any kind of third-party investigation into the matter. Denying reports of inadequacy of equipments at the border, Chidambaram said that the need of the hour is to focus on the brutal nature of the incident and avert such barbaric acts in future. Meanwhile, speaking with remorse on the frequent incidences of ceasefire violations, National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Shivshankar Menon, said that the government has chalked out a strategy to prevent such dastardly acts.
