Inflation is a challenge at macro economy level: Pranab

Following a steep hike in onion prices, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday showed concern over the inflation rates of commodities. Speaking to media persons in Mumbai at the sideline of a meeting with tax commissioners, Mukherjee said inflation is a challenge at macro economy level. Mukherjee further noted that the government has quickly enforced a ban on exports of onion and removed duty on imports.
