Maoists block NH-16 linking Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh

Maoists blocked the National Highway 16 in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh by felling trees in the middle of the road. Traffic was badly hit along the road linking Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh, as the heavy logs blocked the entire stretch of the road. The police personnel reached the site, and were seen clearing the road with the help of other stranded passengers.
