Maoists injure 13 cops in West Bengal in gunbattle

An early morning gun firing began between Maoists and Policemen in West Midnapore district on Thursday.Reportedly,policemen had received information regarding a Maoists meeting,which would be held in West Midnapore district's Chunapara village.A combined force of CRPF and the District Police reached the venue to raid the meeting.In due course of time the hidden Maoists came out and began firing on the combined police force.Around 13 policemen and seven villagers were injured in the incident.The inured are now admitted in Midnapore Medical College and Hospital.
