NDA calls for nationwide shutdown against FDI

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has called for countrywide shutdown as mark of protest against the central government's decision to open the country's retail sector to foreign supermarkets. Senior BJP leader, Lal Krishna Advani said that the BJP and its allies have decided to observe a daylong nationwide shutdown on September 20.
