Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao on Thursday called on United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to lay the groundwork for US President Barack Obama's first state visit to Indian in November this year. Rao, who concluded her two-day visit to capital Washington DC on Thursday, also met her counterpart US Undersecretary of State William Burns on Wednesday and other top brass of the Obama administration over the issue.
