Ongoing polls hit tourists' arrival in Himachal Pradesh

Manali, a popular tourist destination, has been hit by the on-going parliament elections. Manali, a hill resort near Kullu Valley is known for its cool atmosphere and lush green hills. It accounts for nearly a quarter of all tourist arrivals in Himachal Pradesh. Many tourists said they had to cut short their vacation due to the elections. The tour operators said there was a 25 percent drop in arrivals.
