Preparations for Ramadan in full swing

Muslim devotees in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh have started preparations for the holy month of Ramadan, which is the ninth month of the lunar Islamic calendar and lasts 29 or 30 days according to the visual sightings of the crescent moon. Ramadan honors the revelation of the 'Holy Koran' to Prophet Muhammad and has traditionally been a time of religious fervour.
