Punjab deputy chief refutes allegations over policeman assault

Deputy chief minister of Punjab and president of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), Sukhbir Singh Badal, on Wednesday rubbished allegations that leaders from his party assaulted SS Mand, a senior police officer at a restaurant in Ludhiana. Badal clarified that the accused Maninder Pal Singh was expelled from his party six months ago.
