Railways still use kerosene lamps as signals

Indian Railways still use traditional kerosene oil lamps as signals, along the Shimla-Kalka route in Himachal Pradesh. The lack of electricity along the rail route, has prompted the use of these kerosene lamps for the signaling of trains passing through, specially at night.
