Recession hits liquor sales in Kerala

The ongoing global economic meltdown has pulled down liquor sales in one of the highest liquor consuming states of India, Kerala. The beeline at counters of beverages Corporation during peak hours in the evening has dried up. Barely more than 5-6 people are seen at leading shops in Thiruvananthapuram. According to figures in the last month the sales of Indian made foreign liquor dropped to 22.23 percent. The sales are expected to increase due New Year.
