Rs 3.56 bn for Dal Lake restoration by Centre

Central government has approved a grant of Rs 3.56 billion for the preservation and conservation of Dal Lake in Srinagar. The pollution and garbage of the city spoiled the renowned lake, which was the main attraction for the tourists. The state government had appealed for funds, which were recently sanctioned by the centre.
