SC criticises Punjab govt over Rajoana clemency row

The Supreme Court has on Thursday criticised the Punjab government on the Balwant Singh Rajoana clemency issue. The court called the stay on the hanging of Rajoana, a drama by the state government. The Centre government on Wednesday stayed the execution of Rajoana, assassin of former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh.
