SC issues notice to Centre, TRAI on hike in SMS charges

The Supreme Court has issued notices to the Centre and telecom regulator TRAI on a plea alleging that they had failed to loop in telecom service providers who had cartelized and had raised charges of calls and SMSes by 20 to 50% in the last one year.
