SC upholds appointment of Gujarat Lokayukta

In a major blow to Narendra Modi-led Gujarat government, the Supreme Court has upheld the appointment of Justice RA Mehta as Gujarat Lokayukta chief. The SC has upheld the Gujarat high court order, which said that the appointment by Governor Kamala Beniwal is legal.
