Shekhawat files papers for Prez poll

Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat on Monday filed his nomination papers as an independent candidate backed by the NDA for the presidential poll. The 84-year-old Shekhawat handed over two sets of nomination papers to Returning Officer and Lok Sabha Secretary General PDT Acharya at the Parliament House in New Delhi. Leaders of the opposition were present at the time of filing of the nomination.
